Happy as a clam?

Do clams have the ability to experience happiness? I'm thinking no. So why the phrase, Happy as a clam? Is it a joke on the clam, ha ha clam, you'll never know what I'm talking about. Or is it a joke on the person, They're as happy as a clam, meaning they're not actually happy.
stupid phrase, strike it from our brains.



I know I've been as happy as a clam all week. haha

-sweet potato fries
-onion rings
-jack in the box

I have an unnatural love for french fries. I find myself asking when ordering something that comes with fries, "excuse me, what kind of fry are they?" Then continue to list them when they give me an empty look.

What a last couple of weeks.
Went to socal for a quick little visit with the LB friends. Which was initiated by my cousin inviting me to Club 33 with her and her friends. Plans kept changing right down to the night before of what was going on with that but we did eventually get into CLUB 33! It was interesting.
The visit to Long Beach was awesome. I got to see tons of people and make my way around the city that I love. I do love Portland but while in Long Beach I was far too distracted to remember. Its mostly the people I miss, definitely not the weather.
Coming back to Portland and getting back to work helped me remember what was important to me and what I love about Portland.

I have been getting into conversations lately about weathermen. Yes, meteorologists, weather forecasters. Its been the fight of who is the best meteorologist and why. I thought to myself, who cares they're all lame, why are we talking about this. Then I realized I have a favorite meteorologist, Jim Vanderzwaan. I have had an adoration for Jim Vanderswaan ever since I was in elementary school. He would come to Hollister for a christmas fundraiser at Nob Hill that I would go to every year and never had the courage to say hello.
Long story short, I now have an answer to the who is the best weatherman, forecaster, meteorologist. Jim Vanderswaan!

So weekend's past was awesome. so much to slang, so little time. I wish we had sold more but i still had a great time, why? Because a lot of crafters recognized us. AWESOME.
After this weekend, I'm thinking about volunteering for the right brain initiative. cool.
I also heard some unfortunate news about a friend. he could totes do better. in the words of the dude in my dorm, "poor bitch." I hope it doesn't have a rat tail.

hmm new years resolutions update. Haven't been going very well.
1. Eating breakfast. Do granola bars count? If so then I've been doing well. If not, then shame on me. I'm thinking shame on me either way because thats not what I was going for. I was trying to wake up early enough so that I'm not rushing in the morning. Less rush, less heart attacks in the morning. In other words I need to keep working on the breakfast thing.
2. Read a book per month. I've been doing that. This month I've already read 2 books. Yes they are children's books but that doesn't matter. I'm reading an adult book now, and I'm almost done. I'm on a time restraint since it needs to be returned to the library in April.
3.Complete a marathon. Um not doing so well. I can't remember the last time I went running. Shame on me. I'm thinking that the marathon thing is not going to happen this year.
I'm going to be home in a week. SOOOO EXCITED! Can't wait to see everyone. Its going to be soooo fun. Well, it better be.

Ever since I moved here people have been asking me the same question. Different people, same question. I needed time to answer the question honestly but the answer is yes. yes.
I wish I had thought about it before I moved, I might have brought it up. But no, never entered my mind. Oh well, I can warn others.
