So it has been my plan for a LONG time to send notes to a couple of my old teachers. However I kept thinking it would come off as being creepy. Well I finally to wrote one. There are only 3, so one out of three is a big step. heh
I ended up looking up my teacher's email address through the school district's website. He was my 7th grade math teacher that moved me to the advanced pre-algebra class. It was a small gesture but meant a lot to me and my little 7th grade self esteem. Middle school was a rough time for a lot of people but I remember it was really tough for me for a number of reasons. So a little thing like someone telling me that I was smart was HUGE.
Next I need to write a letter to my english teacher from high school. Mr. Van Gerpen! He ruled and for some reason thought I ruled and announced it to every class. If I ever ran into him I would run up to him and give him a hug.
After that letter, an email to Dr. Green. He was like my guardian angel in college. He always had new classes that I needed to take, new professors for me to meet, and new lectures for me to attend. He always told me about things to do and I did them of course but then realized later that it really helped me in the long run. He always had my best interest in mind and when I went to talk to him about classes or life he would stop and listen.
These three people had admirable attributes that I wish to attain. Until then I will just let them know so they know that what they do every day is not going unnoticed.
